Our fridge has more information on it than my calendar app, mostly because nobody in this house checks their phone for anything important. Here’s what’s currently taped up, more or less verbatim.
MON — “soccer practice moved to Thurs, NOT WED”
Written in my kid’s handwriting, ignored by everyone, corrected via group text four separate times.
MON (again, different handwriting) — “ordered the matching pjs, coming Fri”
This is my handwriting. We do family pajamas every year around this time and I will not be taking questions about it. The set I picked is soft enough that everyone’s actually agreed to wear it past one photo, which is new.
WED — “H costume??? decide by fri”
Nobody has decided. There is a strong three-way split between a dinosaur, “something scary,” and my daughter’s insistence on being “a really good rock.” We found a Disney-collab hoodie in the Haunted Harvest section and it may have solved this by accident — nobody wants to be a rock anymore.
THURS — “practice 5:30 NOT 6”
See Monday.
FRI — “app = extra 10% off, use before sat”
This is taped directly over the soccer note, which tells you where our priorities actually are. Went ahead and grabbed a couple pieces from the new Sport activewear line for the kid who’s decided sprinting everywhere is a personality trait now — it’s held up through one full week of that, which is more than I can say for the last pair.
SAT — “swim stuff — check sizes, everyone grew”
Every single year.
SUN — nothing, blank space, first one all week
I linked what actually ended up in the cart this week — pajamas, the hoodie, the activewear — in case your fridge has a similarly chaotic note situation. (Affiliate link, small commission for me, no extra cost to you.) No promises it’ll get you organized. It hasn’t gotten us organized.
