WARDROBE v2.6 (FALL) · RELEASE NOTES
Build date: the first cold Monday. Tested on: one commute, two all-day meetings, one dinner where I didn’t go home to change first.
I work next to engineers. I’ve read enough changelogs over their shoulders to know the format is the most honest way anyone has ever described a change. No mood board, no “elevated essentials.” Just what’s new, what broke, and what we’re not supporting anymore. So here’s my closet, patched for fall.
Breaking changes
The structured blazer is deprecated. It will continue to exist on its hanger for legacy reasons (job interviews, funerals). It will not receive further updates. Reason for removal: it wrinkles in the exact shape of a car seatbelt, and I am done arriving at 9 a.m. looking like I was strapped in for a crash test.
New
Knit jacket is now the default outer layer. I went through the Heritage jackets Misook put out at the start of September, and they solve the one bug I actually care about: the knit is wrinkle-resistant. That’s their claim, and it’s the whole pitch. It goes into a tote at lunch and comes out still looking like a jacket.
- Heritage Whipstitch Cable Knit Jacket, $398. Cable knit with whipstitch trim, in Mahogany/Biscotti/Black. Misook suggests it with denim, which is the combination I’d test first, because a jacket that only works with trousers is just a blazer with a softer personality.
- Heritage Tonal Tweed Knit Jacket, $398. Stand collar, gold-tone buttons, Stardust colorway. This is the “looks like tweed, behaves like a sweater” one.
- Tailored Speckled Lurex Knit Jacket, $428. A little sparkle in the knit. For the dinner-after-work case.
Changed
The whole palette moved to Mahogany. That’s the color running through their new arrivals: a Double Scoop Neck Mylana Knit Tank ($168), the Naomi Wide Leg LuxeStretch Ponte Pant ($288, actual functional pockets, which I now list in every changelog out of spite), a pleated ponte dress ($328). The tank is 23 inches long and hits right at the hip, so it tucks under a cropped knit jacket without the dreaded two-inch stripe of shirt hem. Machine or hand wash cold. That detail matters more to me than the color.
Fixed
- Fixed an issue where the outfit looked great at 8 a.m. and like laundry by 3 p.m.
- Fixed an issue where “smart casual” required three separate decisions. It’s now one: jacket over tank.
- Resolved a long-standing conflict between “warm” and “looks like I tried.”
Known issues
Price. Nobody is pretending $398 for a jacket is an impulse buy. Two workarounds I found while poking around the site:
- Signing up for their emails unlocks 20% off an order. On the Whipstitch jacket that’s roughly $80 back.
- The sale section has earlier Heritage jackets marked down by about a third. The Heritage Belted Tonal Flat Knit Jacket was sitting at $306.79 (from $458) when I checked, and the Tailored Tonal Checkered Knit Jacket at $286.69 (from $428). Sale stock moves, and sale terms can differ from full-price ones, so read the returns page before you commit.
Upgrade path
Don’t rebuild the whole wardrobe. Install one jacket, run it for two weeks over what you already own, and see how often the blazer gets pulled back out of retirement. Mine hasn’t. It’s been nine workdays.

Next scheduled release: v2.7 (Winter), pending one coat decision I’ve been avoiding since August.
