Levi’s Hong Kong put out their Fall Lookbook this week with one line on it: “More layers means more ways to keep your style interesting this season.” I agree. I also can’t pick one. So I built a quiz, took it four times, and changed my answers until it gave me the result I’d already decided on. You’re welcome to do the same. Keep track of your letters.
1. It’s 8:40 AM. The MTR is freezing, the street is not. You…
A) Take one thing off, fold it over my arm, look composed.
B) Wear something with no sleeves on top of something with sleeves. Problem solved at the arms.
C) Have a jacket so heavy it counts as luggage.
D) Wear a skirt and refuse to discuss it.
2. Your phone camera roll is mostly…
A) Screenshots of outfits from people who look like they own a label maker.
B) Coffee cups next to books I haven’t finished.
C) Blurry photos of old denim in vintage shops.
D) Pictures of hems. Just hems.
3. Pick a weekend.
A) Dim sum with people who always book the table.
B) A slow afternoon in a bookshop café.
C) Ferry to an island, zero plans.
D) A market where I buy one thing and talk about it for a week.
4. Someone compliments your outfit. You say…
A) “Thanks, it’s actually really relaxed,” while standing like a CEO.
B) “It’s just a vest,” which is a lie; it’s a whole look.
C) “It’s from the men’s section,” with pride.
D) “It has pockets,” and then demonstrate.
Results
Mostly A: the Luna Relaxed Blazer, HK$1,399. On the homepage right now in their fall styling edit, described as a relaxed cut with soft structure. It’s the thing you put on over a T-shirt and suddenly you look like you have a plan. This is the result I kept “accidentally” landing on.
Mostly B: the Alice sweater vest, HK$499. New in for women. Knit vest over a white shirt is the most low-effort, high-return layer I know, and you can take it off at your desk without anyone noticing you were ever cold.
Mostly C: the Sunrise Trucker jacket, HK$899. Honest note: it’s listed under menswear. Size down and wear it boxy over a hoodie and it’s the jacket every fall lookbook is quietly built around. The Original Housemark crewneck (HK$499) sits right next to it in new arrivals if you want the matching underneath layer.
Mostly D: the Yoked Pleated Skirt. Denim with a Western-style shaped waistband and pleats that actually move when you walk. If you want something longer, there’s also a new split midi skirt at HK$699.
For the record, my four attempts gave me A, B, A and, once, D, when I was hungry and answered too fast. I’m going with the blazer, which clears the HK$800 free-shipping line on its own, and I’m trying very hard not to add the vest “since shipping’s free anyway.” If you’re a B or a D, the vest and the midi skirt together come to HK$1,198, so you’re over the line too.
